The Brunch for Brian was held in the Courtenay Lodge Hotel in Newcastle West, Co Limerick. As part of the 2013 fundraising efforts, the Brunch for Brian helped to raise €6,000 for Temple Street Children’s Hospitalpatricksday

In the lead up to the event, the Hunt family, the Memorial Committee and friends gathered for the Newcastle West St Patrick’s Day parade.

On the day of the Brunch we were treated to an amazing piano set from Frank McNamara. Most of you may be familiar with Frank’s work from the late late show. Frank was also involved in raising funds for Temple Street Children’s hospital and when he heard about our event he and the family were delighted to attend.Frank McNamara and family

We were also delighted to have author Roisin Meaney in attendance who read from some of her published children’s books for a story telling session.

There was a lot of fun, fantastic food from the Courtenay Lodge Hotel and a host of entertainment including personal photographs from Darren Ryan Photography and face painting from the very talented Marian Sugrue.

Congratulations to the Cleary family who won first prize in our raffle on the day. This included a weekend stay in cork courtesy of West Coast Holiday Villages, a day pass to the wonderful Photo Wildlife Park and a dinner in the Cornstore Restaurant.
